The Mayor and Councillors attended the 80th VJ Day Service at the Town’s Memorial Gardens on Sunday 17th August, marking the official end of WW2. The Mayor, Councillor Chris Paveley, laid a commemorative wreath on behalf of Brightlingsea Town Council, the service was organised by the Royal British Legion and was led by Rev’d Caroline Beckett.
