Brightlingsea Town Council has 118 allotments of varying sizes, usually measured in “rods”. The normal size being given out would be a “5 rod”.
The allotments are located just off Chapel Road in Brightlingsea (click here to see the exact location). Inspections are carried out by our Grounds Manager, Terry Hamilton, approximately every six weeks to ensure that plots are kept in good condition and are in line with our Terms and Conditions (which can be viewed here).
Once a plot has been allocated and payment made, you can also sign up to the Allotment Holders Association, details of which can be found here.
Our allotments always prove to be very popular and are available to residents of the town.
