The Council

Brightlingsea Town Council is made up of eleven Councillors (with one vacancy at present) who all live and/or work in the town.

Each of the Councillors has a different area of responsibility and our goal is to make living and working in Brightlingsea as good as it can be, whoever you are.

You can find out more about each Council & staff member here, and the areas of responsibilities that we focus on.

We realise that we are the first point of contact when it comes to people connecting with government, so on this page here you’ll also see a handy guide as to what the council is responsible for, and what we’re not (and who is, whether that’s Tendring District Council, Essex County Council, or even the National Government).

But please remember, the easiest way to get in touch and have any questions answered is to contact us via the details on every page of this website.
