Following our post/(Press Release) last October regarding Tendring District Council’s planned March works to the paddling pool area, we are reposting the update we received. Owing to poor weather and February’s sustained low temperatures, the project is on hold. Given the significant disruption involved and constraints around high tides, works have now been deferred until September, when conditions should allow completion before winter. The programme is expected to take at least four weeks, involving steelwork, shuttering, excavations and laying 756m² (113m)³ of concrete.
Meanwhile, Brightlingsea Town Council’s Grounds Staff will continue to maintain the area’s cleanliness throughout the season.
