Councillor Ric Morgan, Mayor of Brightlingsea opened his much anticipated event at Brightlingsea Museum on Friday 25th September 2026. The event showcases historical photographs of Brightlingsea Urban District Council and the changeover to Brightlingsea Town Council from 1974 onwards.
Why not pop down, take a photo in the Mayor’s Chair, test your knowledge and take the quiz and help yourself to some Gould coins!!
There are also some lovely amateur paintings by Councillor Morgan on display for you to enjoy. The exhibition runs until Sunday 18th October 2026.
The museum is open from Easter to December.

Sundays: 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm
Spring/Summer Bank Holidays: 10.30 am – 4.30 pm
June/July/August: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm
